The Lacuna

I recently finished the novel The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver and thought it was excellent. I've always been a big Kingsolver fan and this book was especially interesting because Frida Kahlo, and her husband Diego Rivera, play a huge part in the main character's life. Kingsolver wove true historical events into the story so it wasn't hard to imagine the headstrong, stubborn, talented woman that was Frida Kahlo.

On that note (even though it's a long ways off) I'm going to try to convince my boyfriend to dress as Diego Rivera, and I as Frida Kahlo for Halloween.
